Curriculum Vitae

Linda Björg Árnadóttir is an Icelandic textile and a fashion designer that works as an Associate  Professor in the Fashion Design Programme at the Department of Design and Architecture, Iceland University of the Arts (IUA). She got her education in Textile Design from the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts, a Diploma in Fashion Design from the French private school Studio Bercot. She has an MS-degree in "Leadership and Management" from the Business Department at Bifröst University and has just started her PhD studies in Sociology at the University of Iceland where she will be studying sociology of fashion.

Since graduation from Studio Bercot in Paris, Linda has worked as a professional fashion designer in Iceland and abroad. Early on in her career, she specialised in pattern design, working as a pattern designer for French and Italian design companies 1997-2009. For the past nine years, she has run and managed my own design company, Scintilla, with products in national as well as international markets. Her designs have been presented widely, the latest example being at the "Venice Design 2018", as part of the Venice Architecture Biennale. She contributes to public discourse on fashion and design in Iceland on regular basis.
